A spin-off of a fic where Near is a child prostitute and L gets him out of the brothel and into the Wammy house. I love this style of writing from Near's perspective, this is definitely up there with "His Reassuring Visions Were The Pillars Of Your Faith", also by this author. It's one of those fics that I'll be thinking about for a while for the way it haunted me and hollowed me out.

This is a beautiful and heartbreaking piece that left a bit of itself in my heart. It's all grief and love and mourning recollection. The last chapter was particularly hard for me, and the ending, though open, was very satisfying. Would recommend if you want something emotional and meaty.
