Where do I even start with Xue Yang? He's his own undoing. It's a glorious mess. He's nearly feral. He is not remotely sympathetic, and yet I sympathize with him. Even at his most unarmed, he had layers and layers of failsafes in place for when everything fell apart. He makes me so terribly sad.
